POS integration
Updated 31 August 2026
POS integration means the cash register talks to the loyalty platform directly, so points are earned and rewards applied while the bill is being paid — instead of a second device, a second step, and a queue behind it.
Why the extra step is the thing that kills programs
A loyalty program that requires the cashier to pick up another phone will be skipped whenever there is a queue, which is exactly when the most valuable customers are standing there.
Skipped often enough and the data stops being trustworthy: half the visits are recorded, the retention numbers are wrong, and the business draws conclusions from a sample it does not know is broken.
What a connected register does
The cashier identifies the customer once, in the software they already use. The bill is priced with any discount or reward the customer is entitled to, the payment is taken, and the points land against that person automatically when the receipt closes.
A void or a refund reverses the loyalty side too. That is not a detail — a program where cancelled bills still award points is a program that leaks.
What is connected today
iiko is connected, through a plugin that runs inside iikoFront on the till. 1C is being connected as a configuration extension for the cashier workplace. Registers without a plugin of their own use the generic connector, which is the same published interface with a small client on the till.
Every one of them talks to the same connector API on the One Bonus side, so the loyalty rules do not change depending on which register a branch happens to run.
Before your register is connected
Staff run loyalty from the One Bonus Business app. It is two taps — scan the customer, enter the amount — and everything the connected version does is available, just with the amount typed rather than read from the bill.
Common questions
Which cash registers work with One Bonus?
iiko is connected today through a plugin for iikoFront, and 1C through a configuration extension for the cashier workplace. Other registers connect through the generic connector, which uses the same published connector API.
What happens if a bill is voided after points were given?
The loyalty side reverses with it. Points and stamps issued against a cancelled bill are removed by a compensating entry, so the balance and the takings agree.
Can I run loyalty without integrating my till?
Yes. Staff use the One Bonus Business app — scan the customer, enter the amount, done. Integration removes the second device and the extra step; it is not a requirement to start.
